Camera Needs Repair
fujifilm camera repair?
i recently went on a trip to st. louis where i brought my fujifilm camera. after i got back, i turned my camera on and the screen was white, with some black in it. my friend said the display broke, but the screen is still intact. the camera works fine, it's just the LCD screen and the flash button that don't work anymore. it is still under warranty, it ends sometime in may. is there any way i could get it repaired or do i need to buy a whole new camera?
The LCD display is a "sandwich" and when it is stressed too much it fractures and the inside liquid ends up in what looks like an ink puddle.
The outside glass generally does not crack though. None the less you need a new display module installed. Since it is still under warranty, contact Fuji (on line) to see if it needs to go back to them or to a regional repair place.
